Seal Farming Guide
It's pretty easy to get a bunch of seals each day depending on how many characters you have. It is time consuming the more characters you have but once you are set up each character should only take 10-15 minutes to do 10 seals per day on each character.
Set-Up Alts/Mules
This only needs to be done once.
Step 1: Set up your housing return coupons!
You'll need a housing return coupon or house key from your housing district to each of the following: Emain Macha, Belvast, Cobh, Shyllien Reserve and Hillwen Mine. Just go to each location and then use your house key or housing coupon to go back and save the return coupon. You will need to do this on each of the characters you plan to seal farm on.
*Tip: Set them up in a row in your character's inventory so you can remember what goes where.
Step 2: Set up your skills!
You will need at least rank Novice Magic Craft, rank Novice Hillwen Engineering, rank F Cooking and rank F Handicraft. Cooking and Handicraft are easily obtained in Dunbarton and don't cost a lot of AP.
- For Cooking, talk to Glenis about skills and read the book then buy the book from Aeria on baking and read it. After that buy 5 oil, 5 salt and collect 5 eggs and make Mayonaise. The recipe is: Egg 72%, Oil 20%, Salt 8%. Then rank up the skill.
- For handicraft buy the book from Aeria.
- For Magic Craft and Hillwen Engineering you will need to simply touch the Magic Cauldron and the Engineering Rack.
Step 3: Reforge a/multiple handicraft kit(s) for success 2 level (depending on how many mules you have).
Step 4: Put the handicraft kit(s) and a ladle and cooking pot in a pet.
Step 5 (optional): You can get your characters production mastery to rank f and rank up as you do the quests.
This will only help success % when doing some of the daily jobs so it is not necessary however it is helpful. You can obtain the Production Mastery skill by talking to Alissa about skills. She is located in Tir Chonaill in front of the windmill.
Set-Up Quest Items
From here forward everything will need to be repeated each day unless you make enough or collect enough quest items to last you a week.
Step 1: Every night or when you have spare time afk fish in Belvast for owen's box and striped marlin.
Make sure to clear out enough space for admiral owen's box in your "Me" inventory. This is where they will default to. Save every striped marlin and owen's box you fish up and store them in pets. It is preferable to keep the items together so it's easy to remember where you've kept them all for easy access later. Ulitmately you will need 1 of each for each character and sometimes you may catch more or less than needed.
Step 3: Head to Dunbarton and gather some potatoes.
You will need a weeding hoe for this. You will need to gather double the amount of potatoes as characters you intend to farm on. For example: If you have 10 characters you will need to gather 20 potatoes.
Step 4: Buy cooking materials from Glenis, Flying Food Truck pet and/or Walter.
Cooking Equipment: Cutting board and knife, a ladel and cooking pot and a glass jar. (Does not need to be bought if you already have these - just re-use them and repair/bless them).
Grocery Items: Tomato, Basil, Lemon and Carrot (equivalent to the amount of characters you intend to farm on). For example: If you have 5 characters then you will need 5 Tomato, 5 Basil, 5 Lemon and 5 Carrot.
Step 5: Get cooking! (You will need Rank E cooking for this part).
First you'll make steamed potatoes.
Stand between the cooking oven and well in Dunbarton. Have your pot and ladel equipped in one hand and the glass jar in the other. Collect water then grab the jar and switch weapon slots then use the cooking skill. Place the jar of water and 1 potato in the cooking window. Don't forget to select simmering for your first one.
The recipe is: 42% Potato and 58% Water.
It doesn't matter what star rating you obtain as long as you're successful making the dish. Repeat this process until you've made all of your potatoes into steamed potatoes.
Step 7: Cooking again (This time only Rank Novice cooking will suffice).
Use your knife and cutting board for this. Begin with mixing the Vegetable Canape.
The recipe is: Carrot 50%, Steamed Potato 40%, Lemon 10%
Then mix the Tomato Basil Salad.
The recipe is: Tomato 50%, Basil 30%, Steamed Potato 20%
Store all that you've cooked in a pet, again, preferable to keep them together for easy access later.
Questing
Step 1: Start in Emain.
Use your return coupon to head to Emain Macha (don't forget your house key). Equip your ladel and cooking pot in one weapon slot and handicraft kit in the other. Go to the resturant or puppet shop (whichever is closer). The two people you'll be looking to speak to are Gordon and Macaulay for the daily part time jobs here.
- Gordon: Buy a chicken wing and oil from Shena. Bake Roasted Chicken Wing: Chicken Wing (78%) and Oil (22%). This NEEDS to be 3 stars or higher.
- Macaulay: Equip that handicraft kit mentioned above and make the amount of items he requests you to make with the handicraft skill.
Once done put your cooking ladel, pot and handicraft kit back in the pet - you won't need them anymore at this point.
Then head back to housing using your key. Don't forget to put the return coupon back in the row where it belongs.
Step 2: Head to Belvast.
Take out 1 Tomato Basil Salad, 1 Vegetable Canape and 1 Admiral Owen's box. Start with either Monatte or Laffe (whichever is closer).
You will need to do the quests for Hiko, Hicca's Mom, Laffe and Monatte here.
- Monatte: The giant located at the top of the stairs near the trading post. Speak to him once, accept, then speak to him again to complete.
- Hiko: Goblin located at the General Shop near Vanalen. Speak to him once, accept, then speak to him again to complete.
- (Optional)Hicca's Mom: West of the garden. Join the party of another character age 13 or lower. Speak to Hicca's Mom - Accept - Speak to Hicca - Introduce Party Member and obtain the note - Speak to Hicca's Mom to complete. Leave the party.
- Laffe: North of the courthouse. Speak to Laffe - Accept - Speak to again to complete.
Head back to housing with the key. Don't forget to put the return coupon back in the row where it belongs.
Step 3: Head to Cobh.
Take out a striped marlin. Hit a sign or post for 5 nails (unless you've previously gathered them on a pet).
Speak to the following two people:
- Madoc: Located near the General Shop. Speak to - accept - speak to again to complete.
- Manolin: Located near on the east side near the water before crossing the bridge. Speak to - accept - speak to again to complete.
Head back to housing with the key. Don't forget to put the return coupon back in the row where it belongs.
Step 4: Head to Shyllien Reserve & Hillwen Mine.
- Magic Craft Quest: Speak to Weiss located near the cauldron and complete the daily quest she gives.
- Hillwen Engineering Quest: Speak to Hector located in front of the Engineering Rack.
Step 5: Complete all the quests and put your seals in a space in the bank or your house.
Don't forget to put the items you get in a pet, the bank or your house for transferring if you need them.
Step 6: Repeat for each character.
